Joseph
Program Director & Lead Instructor
15+ Years of Frontline EMS Experience
Joseph has spent over a decade on the front lines of emergency medical services, serving as an EMT, Paramedic, Field Training Officer, Paramedic Preceptor, and Clinical Education Services (CES) Director. As the current EMT Program Director, Joseph blends his real-world knowledge with an unwavering passion for teaching.
His unique ability to connect with students, explain complex clinical concepts, and foster confidence in high-pressure scenarios makes him a cornerstone of our program. Many of Joseph’s students have gone on to careers in fire departments, hospitals, ambulance services, and healthcare programs across California.
Becky
Instructor & Student Mentor
14 Years as an EMT in 911 Response and Transport
Becky brings over 14 years of field experience, having worked extensively in both emergency 911 response and basic life support transport. Since 2018, she has partnered with Joseph in educating the next generation of EMTs.
Her compassionate approach and calm presence make her a favorite among students. Becky specializes in supporting both new and returning EMS professionals, ensuring every trainee feels empowered to succeed — whether they’re pursuing this as a first career or a new beginning.

Accelerated EMT Training Course
The Accelerated EMT Course prepares you to function as a working Emergency Medical Technician at the basic level and to facilitate the passing of the National Registry Exam.
Monday-Friday 8AM-8PM
Tuition: $3,000.00

South County EMS certified EMT program (in partnership with Minarets Medical Education) is designed to give students the skills and knowledge to function as a working Emergency Medical Technician and to facilitate the passing of the National Registry Exam.
Our 15 day Accelerated EMT program is intended for those who want to get a head start for a career in Healthcare, Public Safety & Law Enforcement. It is also for those individuals who are planning to obtain higher level medical training such as RN, PA, or MD as an enhancement for the competitive application process for those professions.
Included with Tuition:
BLS CPR Certification, (2) Ambulance Observations, Skills Practice and Testing, NREMT Psychomotor Skills Exam and Course Completion Certification.180 hours Didactic & Skills + 24 hours clinical (ride along) = 204 Hours Total

You must be 18 years of age before the completion of your course.
You must have a copy of your High School Diploma, GED Certificate, or Ability to Benefit Test.
You must acquire the appropriate uniform for class: Uniform shirts are to be provided; navy EMS pants, black tactical workboots, black belt and black wristwatch can be purchased at any uniform store.
You must have and bring a copy of your Hepatitis B Vaccination.
You must have and bring a copy of your Tuberculosis Skin Test (must be within the past 6 months).
You must be clean shaven, hair must be pulled back away from face.
